not exclusively trans related but goddamn should you never ever accidentally give your last paper copy of a record to a healthcare provider. jackasses can pull it all up in my e-file in half a second but I have to spend over a week playing mail tag with a third party records handler and pay a retrieval fee to get a copy of it to find out if it even has the lab results I think it does that would be useful for the outside specialist I'm seeing because the one they refer to is booked out through January. they also just straight up lost the entirety of my psych records I brought. sure hope those made it into a shredder at least. in short gently caress all of this. the only thing that you can trust to not play games with your records is your own filing cabinet. sorry, needed to vent.

mine have chipped a heck of a lot less since i stopped buying cheap polish. you can often find OPI dirt cheap at tj maxx or nordstrom rack

I paint mine whenever I miss not too depressed to maintain them, which isn't super often, unfortunately Otherwise they just get chipped to poo poo and I'll be too apathetic to redo it
