But remember when they have Dave Navarro in the band and produced some realyl boring rear end mid 90s rock?

Navarro really came across as one of the most insufferably smug rock stars of the period.

Flea always seemed like a cool dude though, he would pop up randomly throughout the 90s in movies and videos.

It's a piece of JUNK!
It's funny because 90% of the time RHCP and FNM sound absolutely nothing alike. But I guess they had just enough crossover, occasionally, for it to become an issue.

Obviously "Epic" probably got labelled "Red Hot Chili Peppers - You Want It All (featuring Metallica).mp3" on Napster a bunch. And the RHCP song "Nobody Weird Like Me" and a few others from Mother's Milk strike me as slightly reminiscent of FNM. Almost like they were parodying each other a little bit.

I was looking something up and found a current 90s site: http://www.majestymagazine.com

It's the first time a website responds the way the internet does in 90s movies :stare:

Dave Navarro had the most punchable face of the 90's tbh.

I was just thinking about Encarta and Mind Maze the other day. When I got hit by a car as a kid, as soon as I could move decently with my giant leg cast/brace I'd drag myself up the stairs to wait for my grandpa to get off the computer to play Mind Maze. I loved that game almost more than any of my Super Nintendo games, except for Super Mario Bros 3 and Alladin.

gently caress Californication. gently caress The Zephyr Song.

Californication had some good stuff in it but it would be better if it was kind of a one off album where they explored a different side of their music rather than it becoming the defining sound of their music for the rest of their days.

Seems like the curse of musicians though..your music changes and mellows and gets boring as you get older, or you keep churning out the same poo poo that you did when you were a teenager and suddenly you're a 50 year old with 40 year old fans still pretending that putting out music that was popular 30 years ago is cool and good and not derivative garbage at all.

Chuck Berry refused to hire a traveling band and would hire local bands no matter how bad they were because "The're gonna know my songs".

I saw Berry play in 99 or 2000 and this was definitely the case. He got off the plane, rode to the gig and got on stage, and it was obvious that he and the backing band had never even spoken, much less rehearsed. He also stopped the show because someone was filming on a handheld camcorder. He refused to continue until they brought the camera to the stage and gave him the tape. The whole thing sucked.

Somewhere online the unmastered version with the apparently original track order leaked, and it's definitely a bit of an improvement. Not just because of the mastering, but the track sequence is better. It doesn't hit you right out the gate with all the singles, it spreads them out.

In his various different appearances he's done vocals, guitars and keyboards.

Lanegan seems like one of those dudes that is insanely hard working. He's appeared on at least one album or soundtrack a year - sometimes up to 10 - since 1990, in addition to having ten solo albums, seven Screaming Trees albums and six other albums where he was one half of a duo (with Greg Dulli, Duke Garwood and Isobel Campbell).

Plus he was in Mad Season which automatically qualifies him as one of the greatest.

There was a bank of 6 of these at the outdoor waterslides when I was growing up. One or two would constantly be closed due to needing repairs, another would be closed to clean up vomit.
