Wow that doesn’t seem safe, they should really spread them out over the full four hours.

Ol' Lindbergh Field! Flew in and out of there many times as a kid growing up in SD.

Imagine my surprise to learn that it is one of the most dangerous airports in the world (a show on Discovery or the History Channel some 8-9 years ago had it at #10).

The reason for this, is because of a tall parking garage that is in the path on the landing strip. Because of where that garage is situated, a plane has to fly high enough to clear it, then quickly drop down at a sharper angle in order to have enough runway to land.

There had been motions to knock some of the levels off, or tear it down, but they'd been unsuccessful.

So, y'know, something to think about the next time you fly in for Comic-Con.

If it wasn't safe they wouldn't be landing. Looking at the airport docs, it looks like this steep descent is a little more than 5 degrees rather than a standard ~3 degrees.

I think it's fitting that an airport named after a Nazi is dangerous

Lol I remember The Langoliers. The plot was fantastic but the acting and special effects dreadful. But it was a two part TV miniseries based on a Stephen King short story, so what would you expect. I wouldn’t mind seeing Hollywood take another stab at it but make it a full blown movie this time. Maybe get the people who are redoing It and Pet Semetary.

That's the pitch for it anyway. The real reason for the comic was to show the world that Jon drinks dog cum.

The lasagne bit I can see...but how does this cat understand the concept of weekdays? This must be a very 'out there' avant-garde comic.

The comments said it is, some place in California. I prefer to believe it's a train that just has to pass through a bit of water on its route.
