Icona Pop had one massive single and a bunch of smaller hits, but their debut album was loving full of bangers and is probably one of the most consistently good debut albums for a pop group. That's pretty crazy, although less crazy lawsuits have succeeded. That little melody is indeed the same and used the same way, even though it's not the main melody by any means. There's a better case here than there was for Blurred Lines and so forth. I guess I'm just surprised this guy I've never heard of has Marvin Gaye caliber lawyers. If anything, I thought tacking on that bit about witchcraft might've sunk the case. That's the biggest reach here. I just saw Kero Kero Bonito live and it was amazing. I'd absolutely recommend seeing them if you get a chance. They cranked the drums and guitars right up and Sarah makes an incredible rock star. Trampoline as a rock song is one of the coolest things I've ever heard. I have no idea when I last had that much fun.
