Then we went and saw a showing of The Doors movie "Final Cut" with a Q&A with Oliver Stone and John Densmore at the Wiltern and that was cool, but Jim Morrison seems a lot less awesome now that I'm not 15 anymore like I was when I read "No One Here Gets Out Alive". I do have 3 months long service leave banked up, so the idea of driving Adelaide->Brisbane (concert) Brisbane -> Sydney (Concert) and Sydney to Melbourne (concert) then back home again isnt totally out of the question. It would legitimately be cheaper than flying tho, cos we can load the truck up with swags and camping poo poo and just tour our way down the coast staying for free or in unpowered sites vs flying and having to pay for hotel rooms.

(That said, if you've already got it and are past the return window, eh enjoy the game - death of the author and all that. Not your fault for not knowing of course.) No photos but I replaced one of the cats in my 08 CVPI a month or two ago and my mileage went from 15 to 22mpg, despite no codes prior. Bad injector hosed that cat bad. And now the radiator fan is vibrating like crazy on the highest (compressor-on) speed. Sabaton's entire gimic is singing about military history/machines outside of other context though which they've said in interviews - it'd be like saying Alestorm are weirdly obessed with pirates. They now have a history channel which dives into the background stories behind the songs which is interesting. Making a sponsored song is fine, the only issue with it is that it's not a great song.

Then get mad about lovely copyright laws and the need for them to do that for legal precedent reasons, they're just playing the game. e: personally i think the laws ought to be greatly restricted in scope, but also things tweaked to where ie having a video game named the same as your band, without infringing any of your actual content, does not count as a violation you gotta pursue. that way Maiden wouldn't be obligated to go after the obviously unrelated stuff for fear of losing their case against future, more egregious violations by actual malicious actors. I miss being blown away by a new band or album coming out, it's all been done already and nothing sounds new or fresh to me anymore, just a variation of poo poo that's been done already. When you've experienced the innovation of rock music (or music in general really) from the 70's into the 90's nothing really comes close these days tbh. Doesn't really have much to do with my youth, because I can still listen to that music today so there's no yearning for something that isn't there anymore or something. I can still listen to Alice In Chains' Dirt and remember the first time I listened to it not long after it dropped in record stores, thinking holy poo poo what is this. I’m permanently stuck in the emo/pop punk scene that I was encircled with during my formative years. The Early November, Unwritten Law, New Found Glory, Say Anything, Jimmy Eat World...give it all to me. Mankind has benefitted tremendously at the cost of the tortured soul of Max Bemis.
