I realized while I was watching the Royaliest of Rumbles that I have no clue how the Royal Rumble mechanics even work in the modern 2K games. Do you have QTE minigame battles for eliminations, or do you button mash to fill up a bar or something? I'm assuming you can instantly eliminate people or save yourself from elimination if you use a stored finisher. I still like the early PS2 era Rumbles best. Once they brought in the elimination meter, it was kinda downhill from there.

I bowed out during WCW Thunder. well, I didn't quite bow out, I still followed the show. It's just I was watching on my phone in bed. I'm so sad that Rene Dupree didn't go all the way in the Royaliest. He was the most deserving winner after that showcase.

They made it easier to eliminate by just running an clostheslinning weaker dudes out, but they can reverse it and send you flying. The qte os still there as are finisher eliminations

The qte os still there as are finisher eliminations Just to add to this it is kinda dependent on where in the ring you are. corners are press button to move to next stage with 3 stages of elimination, ropes and apron are mash a changing button that changes roughly every 5 seconds to fill up a meter , you also have carry moves best position for this is power bomb position which is press up on right stick hold r1/rb and hold down square/x near the ropes, reversing a running move will back body drop your opponent out if you are near ropes, and as was said clotheslines near the ropes and finisher eliminations are also a thing Edit just double checked it appears i was wrong about the 3 stage in 2k19s rumbles Brokenogre fucked around with this message at 20:03 on Aug 17, 2019 |

I just recorded and am posting a video of all the elimination types i could think of in 2k19's rumble if anyone wants to see that...there may be more elimination types i couldnt think of though and i know i didnt get the reversal elimination if nothing else it shows what the elimination minigame looks like

I have recently re-purchased TNM, which I used to play the hell out of about 15 years ago, and found out some people are still making wrestler exports for it. I'm thinking about running a thread here if people would be interested. If I do, I'm leaning towards starting with AEW and then incorporating other workers into it.
