At the first level of enforcement the system is staffed by career lawyers and such and not (relatively) political.

The trump admin has not been crazy anti labor for a republican admin as far as I can tell.

Imagine going to bat for Oil Money FC

Also wrt to Portnoy it doesn't matter who runs the nlrb, the punishment for what he did is basically to publicly retract what he said and promise not to actually do it

Now, if someone got fired and used that to claim why, look out

i read the article and it’s even dumber than you could imagine

the group filing the nlrb complaint just wants him to publicly apologize and portnoy has decided no, a federal investigation into his labor practices is preferable

Barstool Sports being the thing that officially kills any remaining union protections in this country seems appropriate.

I'm pretty sure they had a bunch of people file charges with the NLRB as a result of the tweets so this was probably going to happen anyway.

It’s kind of a tragedy that Deadspin, by all accounts a popular and profitable website, is always stuck with the the worst management.

True, but I love her larger point that it's possible to be profitable in this field but most are run by complete morons who think they're smart because they inherited their Daddy's hedge fund.
