Edit: Oh new page. Recently I read Prison of Grass by Howard Adams who was a Metis marxist. Very pro Louis Riel and Metis but I found his writing on the structure of colonialism from a class based perspective to be really interesting and I agreed with a lot of it. The early chapters about how he wanted to escape from his indianness by embracing white society and the latter chapters about how Indigenous people need to collectivize in order to implement decolonization being the most relevant, in my opinion. Also very prophetic about a lot of the issues that face indigenous people today for a book written in the 70's. I think I'll try track down his other writings at some point.

That means there was a buyer. And the Koch's are good business guys, so they pro ably made money on the deal too. This is good news for Alberta and things are looking up for the oil industry for decades to come!

Trigger warning, stupid straight guy opinion!!!

Am I the only guy who thinks a public figure coming out in tyool 2019 isn't really brave? He's not exactly a trailblazer here. It's kind of like jumping on the sports bandwagon when your team is already in the finals.

I mean, everybody's got their own journey but come on....

(ok ok its good it normalizes queerness and makes young people struggling with their sexuality feel accepted I know I'm the rear end in a top hat)

Nah, it's still pretty important. It's definitely less of a big deal than any other decade, but it's still a huge step to come out publicly.
