No, but you absolutely get into Oxford when you went to Eton and your dad is an MEP (which makes his brexit poo poo hilarious). I agree that he's playing at being that dumb, but going to Oxford when you're from a notable family doesn't mean poo poo. For me it was last thursday at work, I had a trim piece for a machine that was just a hair too long so I sanded it down on a disc sander and got it pretty hot. Took it back to the machine to check the fit and it slipped out of my hand, of course I caught it by the hot end, burned my hand, and dropped it again.

Yup, that's pretty much exactly what I did. Pulled the pan out, pulled off the chicken breasts, and turned away for two seconds to grab my pre-organized ingredients for my pan sauce and grabbed the handle real good to start making the sauce. Still finished the meal though, but I got to watch the girlfriend eat a fat crispy chicken breast with a delicious pan sauce while I ran tap water over my hand.

I have had the cars.com app on my phone and it lets me live out my car shopping fantasies. It seems to have pretty solid search function and you can save cars to your favorites and it will notify you of price decreases. They need to expand that feature though to include price history because some shady sellers will bump the price and then decrease it back to the old price or even a little higher to game the notification system.

The field of competitors was pretty great, as someone else mentioned there was a good representation for both male and female drivers. The spread of different cars was also very cool. Shredders Silvia was awesome, the RX-7 was sick. The german ladies Mercedes was a monster in spite of it getting crushed by seven tons of water. I was surprised how often they appeared to be evenly matched.

GF is out of town.
GF left her car (Toyota Matrix - a wagon with plenty of room)
GF is a borderline hoarder. I'm the only one who really cleans around here, and it took months to get my car in the garage because she might need the stuff out there "any day".
We have a 10x10 storage unit that's only about half full.

I'm about to load up half of the garage into her car and haul everything a couple of miles to storage. My only concern is getting pulled over, since I'll have to drive with the hatch slightly open (it'll be tied shut, but the cops in my suburb are known for pulling you over for having a car that doesn't look new [personal experience].. much less a 15 year old Toyota with peeling paint and a hatch held closed with a bungee). After that trip, I'll make a few more trips, but there's an armoire in the garage that's a few inches too tall to allow the hatch to close. That's going first. Followed by the loving refrigerator in the garage (I keep trying to get her to sell it while it still works, it's having issues starting and pops the breaker now and then.... but noooo, apparently a 15 year old $600 fridge is priceless).

Her car hates me.

Got stuff into it fine (this is while unloading, but whatever, it shows what I squeezed into it)

Heading to the storage unit:

When I was leaving, I had a bitch of a time getting the hatch to open (the key I have is the one she used for 13 years... it's very worn - she switched to using her spare about 2 years ago). The car is manual everything, no remote release, and I always lock the hatch out of habit after closing it (it locks fine with this key, it's just sometimes a bitch to unlock). It took about 5 minutes of loving with it to finally get it to unlock to haul a couple of things back home.

Heading home:

:argh:

Thanks to the hatch being open, it was pretty obvious this thing never gets wound out. I had to gun it to merge with traffic, took it up to redline, and oh god the rotten egg fumes. :barf: I'm not used to a cat that can actually still make those kinds of smells when it has more than a few years on it.
