Yeah the US with privatized healthcare just has Cardassian Death Panels.

The verdict is always the same: coverage denied.

There's currently a hurricane heading for me. We just got an email from the CEO of the company about it, about how the office might be closed and we might have to evacuate and the safety of employees is top priority blah blah blah Oh also make sure you bring your laptop with you because we have a lot of very important client deliverables coming up and it's not like we can just tell them "we need another day or two because our employees are busy not dying" now can we???

The point was to lie unambiguously and everyone's time as liberals put all their effort into disproving the obvious lie.

It's extremely easy to do and works as long as 30% of Americans will vote for them no matter what they say

This was just for Lime Scooters over a few months, there are three companies operating them now. Their only cost, other than the capital that they own, is $3000 for the licence to operate.

The death panels require a monthly tribute, if you don't pay it, you can't get healthcare, but in order to get healthcare you also have to bribe them when you need it and the death panels have a financial motivation to deny you care in that they get to keep more money.

So yeah pretty much.

plate carriers are, which is like a regular bullet proof vest but actually useful because it has a giant slab of steel in the middle to actually stop high energy rounds. or anything that will stop a bullet, really, but steel is reusable and the other kinds are basically sci fi bullshit if people who know better than me to be believed. a regular vest like cops have is designed for handgun rounds which are very low energy and typically low mass. they literally had to invent hollowpoints because pistol rounds weren't lethal enough to send people into shock immediately

That article is behind a paywall, does this mean there is literally no (federal) recourse for a misclassified worker? Can you still appeal your classification in some way or is this just the NLRB openly announcing it will no longer enforce federal labor law at all?

Yep, really puts into perspective how Obama did everything right and was always on the workers' side - Trump is an aberration in American politics.

No, what it's actually saying is that misclassifying someone so you can say "it's now legal to fire you if you unionize" is not in and of itself a form of threat like saying "I'll fire you if you unionize" would be. It's still wrong to misclassify people, but it's an honest mistake made by dumb babby companies who are just twoo stwooped to know what an empwoyee is, so you can't sue them over using it as a threat / anti-union tactic.
