I'm glad I don't have children. I've seen the hints of what's to come and I think anyone else who has is either willfully ignorant or terribly cruel to bring new life into this world. Governments across the world descend into fascism as both temperatures and waters rise, opportunities shrivel and rot away as parasites drain them to fill their already bulging pockets, and nobody has the power to make any sort of significant change.

Some nights I can't do anything but sit and cry. The world is hosed and nothing will fix it. The ones on top don't want to fix it. They want to fix it, they profit from the world's rape. They prop up fascist governments because keeping the people ground beneath your heel is a good way to maintain the status quo.

Christ, is there any way out? No wonder people turn into spree shooters. At least for a few moments they feel like they have power to effect change, even if it's power of the worst, most pathetic sort used for change of the ghastliest, most tragic kind.
