Personally I don't really mind either way of translation (literal or substituting for something that works in English). If it's literal translation, then maybe some kind of note explaining the joke/saying would be nice, but that'll increase the burden a lot on the translators and typesetters. In any case, it's just wonderful that we're getting more translated GCCX, that's the main point!

ZombieKabuto released Captain Tsubasa 2-parter subs earlier and the quality was really shoddy and full of memes & random cursewords and seems like the same thing continues with Super-C. I mean, I love GCCX translations, but I can probably safely just skip the releases from him from now on. GooseCanyon's subs had a totally different level of professionalism compared to this guy.

To be fair, the second part of ZombieKabuto's Captain Tsubasa 2 sub was a pretty solid improvement over the first. I can't speak to the guys attitude on twitter (I don't use it), or his attack on GooseCanyon's /excellent/ first effort, but we'll give Super-C a watch. Especially since I suggested it as a next effort on Nyaa. That said, we're eagerly awaiting GooseCanyon's next effort. Though we watch the raws, getting translations on Famionaire was a real treat! Either way, I've gotten 15 minutes done so far of Osomatsu-kun Hachamecha Gekijyou but was taking a bit of a break due to a lot of self pre-testing for the JLPT. My goal for that one is to get it released by the end of the year since I'm doing it in my free time. Can't imagine anyone else wanting to do that one though, haha.

Went in 2014, there's too much people in TGS, too much waiting to get anywhere, probably never going again. The (tiny) GCCX booth was a highlight though, got a picture with Abe and somebody helped me to buy merchandise as you had to fill an all Japanese order form to buy.

Thanks for your hard work! If I can make a request, I've been hoping that the Ninja Gaiden III episode (243, season 21) would get subbed. They are on a cruise ship for that episode but the details escape me, but I love all kinds of special travel episodes.
