Whatever food does, its reminder text is too long to fit in a planeswalker ability

My guess is +1/+1 end of turn at instant speed, 1 generic to use.

my guess is sac to gain 1 life it certainly cannot be anything powerful because it is a +2 on a 3 mana walker

Tireless Forager Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, cook up a food token. Whenever you eat, put a +1/+1 counter on Tireless Forager.

We've gotten mana and cards with treasure and clues so I'm sure it's life. Can't wait for creature type chef. Wicked Witch of the Woods 2B [pic of crone with gingerbread house in bg] Human Wizard, 2/2 3BB, T: Destroy target human. Create food tokens equal to its toughness.

Okay first, why is Screen Rant getting the first spoiler, and for the marquee planeswalker of the new set and new plane? Second, it'd be cool if the shapeshifter planeswalker had 12 versions of himself.

definitely guessing that food tokens are sac to gain life, with some number of cards in the set also consuming them for effects.

Food tokens are probably going to be an artifact that does very little - they're a +2 loyalty ability on a 3-mana walker so they just can't be very good in terms of incremental advantage, and it looks like their primary purpose is to be something trivial to trade to your opponent with Oko's -5.

Lifegain would fit the bill (alternatively it's a very good PW)

It's a little curious that the +1 permanently transforms instead of exiling and creating a token. I thought they didn't like doing that sort of thing, because it creates memory issues. Also, does Oko's blue left arm make him Dack's evil twin?

Yeah. That's pretty much what the thread guessed back when the frame was spoiled. Split cards but they're Creature//Spell instead of Spell//Spell.

That card is very ugly. The artwork is great, the frame is really nice. That version of split is horrendous.

I like how early discussions around the "probably makes bears" aspect of the extra frame portion were on the money. I guess the flavor text shows Wizards got out in front of the "if the bears are not all the same size, they are not bears, but if they are all the same size, it ruins the flavor" by shifting the different sizes theme to Goldilocks' weapons. (Flavor text is also just generically quirky/subversive/dark, which I gather we'll be seeing a lot of, given their earlier description of the set.)

# ? Sep 3, 2019 22:12 |

my guess is it's like Aftermath where you can cast the sorcery from the graveyard
