I don't think anyone wants the content of games to be regulated. Stuff surrounding it (business practices, advertising etc) should be.

The ESRB has an obligation to mention that gambling mechanics are in a video game. Of course how it is right now is that this is not mentioned at all, and games are not rated accordingly either. All sports games for example have a E rating, despite having gambling mechanics in them. How old do you have to be to gamble in the United States? Now, see how this is a serious issue?

OW will suck because once someone leaves there’s too much punishment to those that stayed. This will be worse than normal because god’s perfect console totally shits the bed when it has to do anything involving a network. I like the idea and played the game a lot when it came out, but this isn’t going to be worth the 50 I bet they charge for it. If you don’t like loot boxes I promise you buying this game has worse odds of success.

As the new King of Video Games, my first decree is to implement loot boxes into Luigi's Mansion 3. When you open one, a ghost will pop out through the Switch and steal your soul. If you can't get your soul back, Gooigi will take over your body and live your life for you while you're trapped in the game for all eternity.

overwatch better have gyro out the gate. If they have cross progression, i might hop in on a good discount. Though paladins can't keep my attention and it's mechanically much more interesting.

They also enabled and disabled game modes and maps you were allowed to play on a schedule. Some weekends there was literally no way to play with my friends. That was really lame and unexpected to run into in 2018. I’m sure they won’t but I hope S3 does have parties because that game is the chillest shooter ever.

My family went on holiday to the US when I was thirteen and we had a couple of nights staying in Vegas. Any time I could see a slot machine, which is literally everywhere outside the hotel room and sometimes inside it, a casino bouncer would loom out of nowhere and shoo us along. Hats off to whichever executive looked at that and thought 'Pfft, those pricks are just leaving money on the table'.

I think Astral Chain is more enjoyable depending on how much agency you give the Legions. If you view them as autonomous beings that deign to help the MC because they respect her goals, that's a pretty cool relationship. And gives the whole game kind of a buddy-cop vibe (why did they not lean into this direction!?!) But if you assume they are subjugated body and mind by the MC then it's a lot less fun. And unfortunately this is the perspective I think the game pushes more.

The fact that a child can rack up thousands of dollars of credit card debt on a soccer game without knowing and that is happens on a routine basis is loving insane and should not be a thing. Goddamn how does their art keep getting worse?

I mean the beginning of the game has you yanking a weaponized something across dimensions, which immediately attacks you, which you reward with a shackle and a badge. One the first missions has you hitting a civilian with one. They're not being coy about who the baddies are. Side note: love love love the seeker names of the shadow government

Well in the opening cutscene, upon being given a body, the first thing the legion does is try to murder everyone, and that continues even as the restraints are put on. And the chimera have been killing humans for a long while now, even before the legion program was developed. I think the chimera have to be subjugated like that because by default they try and kill humans.
