It's not uncommon. When the people from the Alamo Drafthouse called Y.K. Kim so they could get rights to Miami Connection, he hung up on them because he thought they were joking. Joe Berlinger did a commentary for Blair Witch 2 that is him explaining why it's a bad movie (he makes a good case that it could have been good). David Lynch refuses to acknowledge that DUNE exists.

RiffTrax is running a 15% off Labor Day sale for the interested. I'm tempted to pick up that very odd Scottish horror sci-fi flick Mary Jo and Bridget did whose name I forget, or maybe Uninvited with the cat who barfs a smaller cat to kill people.

Are you thinking of Devil Girl From Mars?

Both are great choices. I liked Devil Girl more, but that's purely due to genre preferences.

No, because the evil cat lives inside the regular cat full time. He crawls out to kill people, then crawls BACK in to hide; while the regular cat continues to give no obvious fucks.

There are multiple scenes in The Uninvited where they dub in constant meowing because the cat just sits there like cats do. Also Clu Gulagher wearing Mickey Rooney’s false teeth from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Yeah, like was said Devil Girl isn't being sold anymore which is unfortunate but the flick I was actually thinking about was Deadly Instincts. An alien crashes in Scotland and wants to breed with the students. It's horror, technically, I guess? Horrible, anyway. It's also very 80's.

Well that's unfortunate, Devil Girl was great. What's funny is that it is also about an alien that crashes in Scotland and wants to breed with the locals, it's just pure scifi instead of scifi-horror.

Between Deadly Instincts and Uninvited, I'd say Uninvited was the better riff and cheesier flick.

We got that movie in for rent at Blockbuster in the 90s, under the title "Breeders", and it had a very fancy embossed slipsleeve that was a shot of the monster.

There's probably a fun conversation to be had about the riffs you always find hilarious, and one we've probably already had but let's have it again.

For me the first one that comes to mind is Time Chasers:
Bob Evil: "Get them out of my office!"
Crow: "You mean 'out of your mezzanine,' sir?'

The bit in “Prince of Space” with the stereo “LUCIIIIIIIILE!” when the two Mr. Mooney looking guys are on screen always gets me. Also “Swing me over there, trusty string!”

And the dog in “Red Zone Cuba” who straddles the barbed wire. “Snausages Snausages DOH MY AREA!”

My copy of the Puma Man soundtrack arrived today, complete with CD booklet in Italian and questionably-translated English. The major gem it offers up is that there were apparently official Puma Man Action Figures of the four main characters released alongside the movie.

There's at least a thread on their official forums that's being kept up, last update in the OP from June.
But for a quick look after cross-referencing the store:
