If anyone's looking for something to watch tonight, one of our local indies is back streaming on Twitch (and YouTube and Facebook Live) tonight. AAPW is a school in Austin, Texas running shows every other Saturday. Notable previous graduates are Allie Kat and Reina Gonzalez. Tonight's top matches are VertVixen vs Riley X Paris vs Nova Phoenix in what is the beginnings of AAPW's women's division, and Steve O Reno vs Manny Domingo. So while you guys were watching your Bloodsport thing, I was brought to a show at the Monster Factory where I got to see Homicide introduce Bull James as his mystery partner. Then they beat up the tag champs with a rubber chicken that a fan had with them. Then after the match, Homicide referred to Bull James as a legend in the business.

I had a good time. I did feel bad for one dude on the roster who came out, immediately won everyone over with his charisma and gimmick (a variation of the Ryback "hungry guy where it's a metaphor that he's going to kick your rear end"), then proceeded to have the only match of the night that was outright bad. He and the other guy simply could not get their poo poo together. Then he won and left with it on his sleeve how frustrated he was.

I went to a free Flying V show on the UMD campus. It was only like 1.5 hours long, but I wasn't complaining for free. Nothing too spectacular, but live wrestling is always fun! There was a nasty bump, though, when O'Shay Edwards dropped The Proletariat Boar of Moldova right on his head. He took a bit to get up and the ref looked a bit concerned, but ultimately did, so hopefully it was a work or nothing too serious.
