The last one I saw (can't find it now) was basically a map of where people were best educated and had the most expensive housing. Shockingly enough, Fairfield County was at like 35%.

New York (state) lost like 75% of its population, right?

Jasper Tin Neck posted:Why are some state capitals spelled in capital letters? All of the cities with capital letter names have city populations over 500,000, all the rest don't. That's a pretty standard population cutoff for notating cities on continent-scale maps, so they probably just used that default when generating the map. Grape posted:NYC taken over by Jersey, forced to endure a brutal reign of revenge for all the jokes. The map hands Trenton not merely NYC and the bulk of the Westchester, Nassau and Rockland county NY suburbs, but also Philadelphia itself and like 3/4 of the Philly direct suburbs. That would basically increase the population of New New Jersey to around 20 million at minimum. (The small chunks of territory lost to Dover's Hyper-Delaware have barely any people in them) Bloodnose posted:Are Providence and Boston the two geographically closest? Yes, the next closest is Annapolis-Dover, which are 48 miles apart instead of 41 miles like Providence-Boston.

This is Kansas if it were all at mean elevation. Nebraska is similar. The whole state slopes very gently upward from east to west. Both states are extremely flat, but they are not level. Kansas’ high point has a prominence of nineteen feet. It’s only a few hundred feet higher than Colorado’s lowest point Oklahoma has sort of a similar problem. It has more hills than the other two (including the Ouachita Mountains a third of the way in on the bottom right of the above image), but its high point is at the tip of the panhandle, on the Black Mesa it shares with New Mexico and Texas, which is a third of the way in from the left at the bottom of the image.
