Anyone have experience with railroad issues? Doc review coworker has been appearing on a case for over a year now where her client is a secured creditor, debtor in default. The debtor has possession of a half mile long set of rail cars that have been left to rust out and can't be moved safely. So her remedy seems to be scrapping them for cash but she can't get them to a scrapyard. Apparently flatbed trucks are cost prohibitive Anyone heard of anything like this?

Rail cars run 25-40 tons each, so it won't be Joe Blow and his F-350 and a flatbed, it's a semi and a 50-ton lowboy. And overweight/height permits, guides and escorts. And building a road to the railcars that will support the semi + loaded lowboy And an 80+ ton crane transported to the site to get the railcars on the lowboy and sitting on station waiting for your lowboy to get back, or hiring a bunch of lowboys (and associated overwieght/height permits, guides and escorts) And finding a scrapper than can take 60 railroad cars may be tough, too.
