Something that people really seem to struggle with is the concept that almost all celebrities are neoliberal horror shows, on account of being rich and wanting to remain rich. There are a handful of exceptions, most of whom aren't even meaningfully rich. But TV personalities definitely have way more money than you, and would happily see you crushed if it means they get to keep their lifestyle going.
