so i landed an interview with the VP of a company tomorrow morning.

technical writing, banners, talking to their engineers and making their succinct and technical descriptions into things that others can understand.

they wanted me to bring a few writing samples. i did technical writing for around a decade a few years ago but it's all under NDA since a cellular device manufacturer probably didn't want the full details of why their flagship device took purple pictures and the whitepaper behind it used as a writing sample.

ok, no problem. i've been working through this 175k page FOIA for the last few months on this massive amount of pollution that exists on a parcel of land they built a high school on. 175 acres, two superfund sites. i could literally talk your ear off about it for as long as you'll let me keep speaking. included the first portion of that -- the one specifically focusing on the inactive hazardous industrial waste landfills next to the school (one 35' away; one literally on the property). and a writing piece i did after the Grenfell Towers fire -- around two days after -- when i realized the manufacturer of the PE cladding used (which is actually the same company as the pollution thing) on the building was working to delete all of their PDF files including the ones indicating that the same "don't use this poo poo on structures above 35 feet" cladding was used on the Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore.

i'm sitting here, trying to chill out while looking at their website and knowing that i'm probably punching way above my weight. they really don't mention their clients but i just ran into "international aluminum company" and realized that i can probably have a chill time at this interview since there's no way in hell they'll hire me after a block of text that reads --
