Gorkamorka was a great game for many different reasons, one of my favourite being the character and flavour it gave orks from then on.

It is such a huge pitty the game didn't work out. There nothing more fun than Madmax with Orks.

In fact I like to think that the new Madmax would be better if the battle boys were all orks anyway.

I like the new Drazhar model but I think the paint job is doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

Also his new rules are a nice lil boost.

Wonder if he gets a point change as well. He’s like 170 points in the existing codex and nobody ever freaking took him.

Disney has a rule at its theme parks that you can't show up dressed like an iconic character.

None of us would ever get in on account of our Nurgle cultist appearance.

I'm almost more keen to see if they're doing AoS comics or not. Or even something off the Specialist games like Necromunda.
Although at first I figure we might see reprints of older comics. Would be interesting to see if they'll reprint old Black Library comics via this deal. Pretty sure I'm still missing parts of Titan and then there's a bunch of other Warhammer Monthly comics that never got collected either.

The only thing im going to change with this model is pruning a few of the soul stones from his necklace cause its way too drat crowded and busy but otherwise this model owns, I just hope his rules are decent cause i wanna take this loser and throw him at all the dudes.

That’d be cool. I don’t really see many characters get taken that don’t have auras or other abilities to improve other units.

A while ago I posted a YouTube video to this thread with an alternate build order for Repulsors where you put the side panels on first and then snap the grav-plate mounts in afterward, which is supposed to eliminate the side-gap problem Repulsors have. I have someone else I want to show it to, but I can’t find the link. Anyone have it handy?

EDIT: Never mind, found it.

I know there have been some fairly recent 40k comics although I haven't read them.

Will of Iron was a Dark Angels themed one and there was a Deathwatch one scripted by ADB.

Unrelated, but I'll ask here as I couldn't see a thread. Opinions on the Sanctus Reach game?

Deathwatch was a fine comic with serviceable art but a pretty standard 40k last stand story. It has a celestial lion in it though so I loved it. I don't think they've had a really great comic since Damnation Crusade which is an all time classic to me.

At the very least this a chance for Kieron Gillen to get another shot at doing a warhammer fantasy story and forever burying the shame of Crown of Destruction, something that has to be seen if you never have before.

This is an officially licensed comic made in 2008 and all four issues look exactly like this, clipart quality 3d models done over with a photoshop filter. I am very curious to find out how it got made.

Cooked Auto
Aug 4, 2007

Seems about the same quality as some Marvel comics made around that same time.

I would've loved to have them do a reprint of the old Obvious Tactics comic. But I figure that one is considered non canon by this point or something. It is however an absolute treat to read and if you can find it somehow pick it up.

It's a good looking model, but I'm a little disappointed they didn't do something with the mantis style the old model had. I also have a soft spot for the old 3rd Ed models despite them being objectively bad so I'm probably wrong.

Agreed. He’s basically just a regular Klaivex with more cracked stones, two additional horns on the helmet, and the cinematic base. I love the model in a vacuum but it doesn’t really pop. I guess it’s kinda harder to make distinctions for lithe space elves compared to like, big Demons or space marines.

Tbh I dislike trend of cinematic bases.

I have a question:

If I take a warlord with a relic (vox espiritum generally), then I buy ex tenebris as a successor with Token Of Brotherhood, then I buy korvidari bolts, I am only spending 2cp, correct? I don't pay 1cp for ex tenebris and 1cp for the stratagem to access it?

I'm assuming that Token of Brotherhood is the same as Honoured By Macragge, in which case yes you would be spending a total of 3CP there. 1CP gives you Ex Tenebris instead of your stock relic, and then 1CP each for additional marine relics / RG special wargear.

Ok so you have to use the strategem before you give the warlord a free relic? That makes sense as it says after nominating your warlord but it isn't super specific that you must do it for the first relic.

E: this is pushing me harder to take a double battalion and use scouts even though I want full primaris. Are there any good models I could count as scouts? The scout models don't impress me, but at least they're cheap in $

Yeah that makes sense. Strat to replace free warlord relic, extra relic, extra relic. Cheers. I just don't want to dick anyone over and more importantly miss out on my pregame deployment shuffle because I actually have 1cp less than I thought.

The korvidari bolts are kind of a gravy stretch buy anyway, can do without them.
