People and/or government officials in Ukraine, Australia, Italy, and possibly the UK were working with both Hillary and Obama in a massive global conspiracy to both hurt Trump's election chances, publicly accuse him of receiving help from Russia that totally never happened (Hillary was hacked by Ukraine!), and to delegitimize his victory should he win. If he can find Hillary's server in Ukraine and/or make the governments of Australia, Italy, UK, Ukraine, or anyone else confess to being a part of this totally real, not crazy at all, massive global plot to keep Trump from his deserved glory.... well this would be the biggest conspiracy and the most massive witch hunt in the history of all history. In that situation, well hell look at all this damned corruption, OBVIOUSLY he would ask Ukraine to look into this corruption, which probably involves the Bidens, and BY THE WAY, there was NO QUID PRO QUO. They were totally NOT PRESSURED into investigating, just ask the president of Ukraine, he said so, case closed! Anyone in the house who investigates this big, smart, good boy is an enemy of the people who should be executed for treason, etc etc etc. Things have never gotten this dumb in the history of America.

Oddly enough, the primary reason why this batshit crazy conspiracy theory won't work with the voters who don't pay much attention isn't because of the merits of the argument or the inherently hilarious craziness of the theory. Its because Trump has been screaming stupid poo poo on twitter for almost 3 damned years as president, and they are fed up. If he was a quiet, sober president who did evil poo poo with a reasonable smile and poetic words, and then one day he started screaming bloody murder about a global conspiracy, people would sit up and give his ideas a fair hearing. As it is, people are going "oh what now... huh?.... oh, gently caress off Trump, I'm too busy living my life to listen to more of your bullshit, when's election day again? Not for another year? gently caress."

I just read some website synopsis of it and I actually sighed because it is the exact poo poo that has been successful talking points by GOP faithful and FNC at every other crisis. There is a 100% chance that people like my chud in laws parrot it as fact; however, those people are probably buying into the whole “nothingburger” excuse now anyways. Unfortunately the impeachment really has to come up with some incredibly simple and blatantly bad for America poo poo or else there will never be enough momentum for anything real to happen. It at least seems like the Dems know this and are moving blindingly fast and with that in mind, and Trump is just the kind of person who would hopefully be that obviously moronic and offensive... ^^ I live in a battleground state and a lot of Trump supporters are definitely sick of his Twitter poo poo and have been, but they it is surprising how many just turn to “well we like his policies” and are afraid of SOCIALISM from the Ds...like red scare Communism all over again. And so while they aren’t MAGA people, I don’t have much hope they are going D Crazyweasel fucked around with this message at 05:59 on Oct 1, 2019 |

What’s that quote about evil’s weakness being its tendency to overreach? I find it amusing that all the work discrediting the Mueller report and gaslighting the public over Trump’s obvious crimeing is going to be undone because they can’t stop trying to project their own sleazy underhanded bullshit onto their opponents and illegally trying to manufacture that reality.

Good enough, I'll just try and ignore what he says for another 4 years". However, I think we can all agree that if Trump stayed on prompter, did everything the GOP wanted, and the only one who tweeted was his staff tweeting boring president stuff, then the election would be a LOT closer, and he'd have a significantly higher chance of winning. So there are a large chunk of voters somewhere between 7-13% or so, who are potentially going to flip their votes between these two alternate futures based solely on his style and personality. And its his personality and tweets the last 3 years that is going to make those voters completely dismiss his crazy conspiracy out of hand.

Farmer Crack-rear end posted:Yeah I remember in 2016 working with a guy who said he would pull the lever for the Republicans even if they literally nominated a ham sandwich. I know a lot of people who basically want anyone in power who will defeat Trump. They don't care who it is. The problem is with this mode of thinking is that they'll accept anyone if the next person allows them to ignore politics again. For them to be lulled to sleep once more. They desire a life devoid of conflict and by not choosing people who will resolve suffering, we're just kicking the can down the road. That unless they choose someone who will resolve the problems of everyday people, the conflict will never be resolved. It will only be delayed, and only maybe. That if they truly want to go back to their comfortable life, they must go out of their way to extend comfort and aid to others. And the idea just bounces off them, as if it's totally alien and empathy is bizarre. And by people, I mean the white liberal, the so called moderate. One of their most defining traits is the desire for the absence of conflict. Not peace, or at least nothing healthy, but negative peace. That moment where someone is done kicking you and they tell you not to get up. The white liberal is satisfied with that, or if not, they'll tell you to wait for your time, incremental change is best, be patient. And all you want to do is break the leg of the person who kicked you. But as soon as you stand up for yourself they'll start screaming about violence, despite the threat of violence being everpresent. I used to be one of these people and I am disgusted with myself in the same way that I'm disgusted with the white liberal. That incremental change, little tweaks, long policies, are loving horrible and demeaning to people who are suffering right now. That people in dire need don't need help ten years from now if they're patient, and only maybe, and only a little. They need capital H help right now. Not later. Now. And the white liberal will jump on the backs of people willing to deal with their bullshit and will weigh them down, forever whispering that if they're good, they might get their rights later. But only if they're reeeeeeally good. These people need a kicking to understand what that poo poo feels like. That tension when the kicks stop coming. For someone to be satisfied with their lack of response, or perhaps mildly guilty. For someone to tell them that freedom is a long, arduous process of tiny, incremental change. That their rules are best and that revolutionary change is unthinkable nonsense, and they'll loudly proclaim it so, or perhaps whisper it. Anything to preserve their comfort.
