Seems like the dew/humidity got worse and worse until the ball just started slipping out like a bar of soap.

Mister Chief posted:I don’t get it. Etzebeth was accused of assault shortly before the Springboks flew out to Japan, in which he is supposed to have used a racial slur. He could potentially be pulled out of the Springboks RWC squad to face the charges. If the allegations are true, that's fair enough, but it'll be fairly devastating to the Springboks.

Teams are out for England vs Argentina For the pumas, Montoya starts over Creevy, and it's urdapilleta at 10 with Sanchez not even in the squad. And for England, it's ford at 10, Farrell and Tuilagi in the centers. I'll cheer for Argentina but hard to see them winning this game on form and depth.

Russian kick chase is really good. Kearney is constantly under pressure.

bessantj posted:Ireland doing well. Ireland have extended the old Munster 10 man game to include one more person, the centre, crashing it up like a backrow. It's entirely un-inventive and immediately shows its flaws as soon as a team knocks us back. We may as well not have wings (except for chasing kicks back and the odd stray break.) If moneyball was implemented in rugby it'd be Schmidt who has the best claim to it.

The Russian 7 looks like he's using some wrestling sprawling in his jackling. Excellent technique.

Also who was the commentator who said that the clear knock on towards the end by Ireland wasn't that clear? Crazy man.

Ireland better have been deliberately only using the poo poo plans, because they were pretty dumb in that one.

Italy are resisting well and trying hard, but the saffers are just stronger than them and using that strength really well.
