I was going to post this in the Books thread, but it has been consigned to the dusty archives. I've got a self-published, professionally-designed photobook packed to the brim with my grim landscapes up on Kickstarter, if anyone is vaguely interested in that sort of thing. It's body of work collating four years of shooting in the industrial working class suburb of Kurnell in southern Sydney. The book is called Far Kurnell. You might have your monitor super dark or something where you're doing your editing but you should be able to see this in the histogram. Maybe grab your phone and check out the photo or use another computer to compare it if these look properly exposed on your main screen. Normally I wouldn't really mention anything but figured I would in case you wanted to know this isn't looking to other people how it looks to you.

That day in particular I made a lot of overexposed images accidentally as I was messing around with different metering modes - I kind of liked the look on that one but you're right it is blown out. It's incredibly dry and unseasonably hot, this dam, which was at less than 2.8% capacity when I shot it 3 weeks ago, is currently on fire.
