It's been interesting to see, because it's exactly how he and delusional WCW fans like me interacted in the 99-2001 period WCW had where the writing was on the wall and he just kinda' told it like it was and it was too much for us to hear.

I'm not saying WWE is where WCW was back then by any stretch, but it was very instructive in hindsight years later when my sister joined an actual, factual cult that I read up on the subject and understood, for lack of a less ironic term, the mentality.

"These are southern places. I got my start in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and I think they're opening their eyes because money talks and fans are showing up."

There have to be off-ramps, be they seasons or years. There's no way a company like Fox is so blind that they'd be beholden to a show to the point that they can't cancel it.

That was probably the worst idea that I've heard from Dave in a while. If they're trying to bring in people that are going to draw younger fans, Jim Cornette is basically the opposite of what the young wrestling fans want to hear about. I don't even know that Cornette would have anything more than go-away heat. I'm not sure you could properly monetize him given that he buries poo poo in a somewhat legitimate way.

First of all, everyone needs to stop assuming that everyone has seen every single tweet, especially a case like this where it's literally about one tweet.

It *looks* like he was talking about a thread where Gail Kim went off on WWE being racist against Asians right after Asuka lost the belt to Charlotte just before WrestleMania. Which they are, but also clearly wasn't why they took the belt off her at that moment. But that's terrible phrasing and I'm not gonna excuse it one bit.
