tbf I think the guy who stans for Mel is the same one who complains about the Daphne's room episode and he's been pretty quiet as of late Mel was the perfect girlfriend for Niles but they hosed up and got married. It could have just been a breakup but it had to be a divorce to up the stakes/emotional ante
