Generally Israel just wants to destabilize all their neighbors and this is one of the ways to do it. Yeah I get that but hypocrisy of it is so loving extremely that it completely floored me.

So uh, what's going to happen to Kurds and pro-Kurdish political parties in Turkey? They're 15-20% of the population and I can't imagine they're too happy about the "demographic correction". Is Erdogan going to say with-us-or-against-us and declare any Turkish Kurd remotely critical of this a 5th column?

i love the conflation in western media between the pkk/ypg and this monolithic "kurds." like I heard "the Kurds are a democratic society which has equal rights for women." -- what he means is socialism creates that society. Kurds in Turkey practice FGM at a huge rate.

Fast Luck posted:Instead of doing that, they would instead simply call in an airstrike That would be a nice headline: "US won't call in airstrike to protect the Kurds, but will call an airstrike on them to protect their oil." That said, president babbyhands would prolly revel in it as opposed to the previous ones that would've considered it unacceptable.

It would be easy. "We were forced to step in to prevent the sale of oil to the EVIL ASSAD REGIME." None of the mainstream people currently calling out this betrayal would make a peep when it came to that
