My wife just ordered a food processor. But yeah, I wanted a good, quick option for those times where I can't get around to cooking or doing much meal prep.

Impossible had the proper texture, Beyond was kinda creamy (?) and I didn't care for it. Granted, maybe I could cook one up better at home and let it sit on the pan until it gets a proper sear, but something about the bean mixture in Beyond just doesn't fly with me. Also I feel weird getting a meatless burger and then putting cheese and mayo on it. For penance, I bought some vegan hot wings and I'm gonna try those tonight at *checks notes* technically Monday.

Do teams always get police escorts to and from the airport? I got held up driving back from buying weed because the Eagles were being led back to the airport by like four police vehicles. It was three or four coach buses with a couple of small moving trucks heading from downtown Minneapolis toward the airport at 4:30, so I'm assuming that's what it was.

I got held up by a convoy of busses after the UNC-TENN game in Charlotte last year as the police escort shut down a road so the busses didn't have to stop at a light. Those busses were going about 75 in a 65 as I followed them. Busses can boogie when they want to.

Cat got sick, decided saturday morning we better get him to a vet, couldn't get an appointment in less than a week at any of the good vets in the area, so wound up taking him to the 24 hour walk-in emergency vet clinic place. $1700 motherfucking dollars later, his heart murmur is benign, his ultrasound showed he was going to have diarrhea soon, I have some pills for him, and he's probably gonna be fine. loving ow. I love the little idiot but god dammit. Also went to an octoberfest on saturday with my wife and her friend, I had to stay sober so I could go get the cat. What kind of octoberfest doesn't have those big soft pretzels? It was salvaged by the dancers in drndls and lederhosen doing a thing where they chop a log with axes to oompah music and then dance around. Also a pretty good bratwurst.

There's a term going back to the red scare/cold war era intelligence war, for people like Trump: a "useful idiot." Basically he's the kind of person who is connected to powerful people, and can be duped or manipulated into doing things that benefit Russia without them actually thinking "ok now I'm betraying my country" like an actual intentional asset might. I think trump prior to his election in 2016 fit that description well. Since then, I'm not too sure.
