This. When you make thousands of posts in the same wankfest thread(s) with the same people over nearly 15 years there's going to be some hivemind memory poo poo.

I'm pretty sure TRP didn't even exist when I started posting here, there were just a couple "soccer" threads in SAS.

It was testing serif vs sans-serif fonts, I forget which specific ones I used. Serif fonts are typically believed to be easier to read in print, but the opposite is supposed to be true on computer screens, because lower resolution displays of the past struggled to render serifs. It's mostly irrelevant these days unless you're worried about scaling things down to very low resolutions.

So are you saying serif fonts are easier to read everywhere now?

Our bald and fail former admin(I almost posted "our former bald and fail" but I'm sure Greg is still at least bald) had a loving curated exhibit at an actual museum from an El Hadji Diouf gif.

Yes, the thread came from GBS but it's Greg and a footballer so I'm claiming TRP credit.

Nah, it really doesn't matter unless you're dealing with very low resolutions, where sans-serif fonts are clearly more legible. The reason people thought serif fonts were easier to read is because the serifs are supposed to act as a subtle horizontal line guiding you from word to word, but that's only been supported by like one study.
