The unhidden achievements aren't particularly spoilery except for knowing you can choose X type of dialogues/actions Y times for the cheevo.
Also that you can, in fact, eventually either earn Kim's respect or get him REALLY fed up with you. (Maybe both???)

It's RPS, they almost all do that. The new shtick nowadays is to explain how much smarter you are than the game you're playing and refuse to enjoy anything unless it's a super underground indie title because "you just don't get it man".

I took a look at that skills overview thing and went from having never heard of this to being pumped as hell to dl it the second I get home. I really like RPGs where you actually get to do a bit of roleplaying, and "you can make a fascist brute or a sensitive sweet-talker or a deranged nutcase" seem a lot more fun than "you can make a guy who's good with lockpicks or a medic or whatever" especially when it seems like those are as big a part of the game as combat skills in other games would be and not just an occasional bit of bonus dialogue for passing a check

I'm just at the blackness intro, but that conversation was something else;

What's out there? The apes and the ball. How small are the apes? How big is the ball?
What happened to me?
You lost.

And then that loud engine sound. Chilling.

Not to be a negative nancy, but a lot of games that sold middlingly started as Steam Top Sellers so that, by itself, is no indication the game is gonna be a success. I certainly hope it is because I want it to open a market for RPGs that aren't interested in just slavishly adhering to D&D's legacy, though.

I only played the first room and conversation outside but I'm impressed so far. The writing is top notch. Encyclopedia seems like a good first playthrough skill, it gives alot of background info about the city and its history. I'll save Shivers for the second playthrough.

Same. Even if the outcome wouldn't change the joy of the dialogue and writing makes it totally worth.
