Attn nerds: If you like me decide to recreate your character but don't completely exit the game, some flags will get cocked up and you won't be able to pick The Shoe. To fix this, you have to exit the game completely before creating a new character if you've already picked up The Shoe on your current character.

So far no one has commented on the lack of pants/shirt, but the game did have me check my undies for my badge when I realized it might be missing. If people really aren't going to react to this I might have to put some more clothes on.

Moralists don't really *have* beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child's toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded.

I am a responsible adult who has left work early to play a video game.

I seem to have screwed the Thinker archetype by going to see the Union boss without having enough morale to survive THREE morale loss in a row for the lost gun. I can't find a way around this as the locked door seems to be the only way out.

It’s so great when you don’t and decide to roll the dice on some long shot and it works, like when my pencil necked Art Cop managed to go toe-to-toe with a 6 and a half foot tattooed racist. I had like a 12 percent chance to pull that one off.

Apparently if you have the pills you can slam them as your health/morale drains to zero.

I'm playing this tonight.

So, would a character with high PSYCHE and Inland Empire as signature skill basically be Dirk Gently?

Inland Empire told me that the murder case was too boring and that it would be far better if it had some kind of mystical or supernatural meaning to it.

I did a 3% check on a presumably harmless object to see what the failure result was and accidentally succeeded. :v:

My Superstar Cop is talking to a local girl who admits I've been running around before today with no shirt on telling people I'm a star.

Now I'm even more curious how this changes if I'd picked a different Copotype.

not overly fantastic, both my GPU and CPU are midly bored by the game but it still doesn't go above 100FPS and resides around 70-90 depending on zoom and scene which largely hints to a not fully optimized game or just too many systems depending on one or several other factors.

So I managed to convince myself that
I am the murderer because I wanted the case to be more interesting
but I think I'm just gonna keep it to myself for now. I also lost a battle against Kitsuragi's eyebrow lmao

The writing is really, really good - the game is hilarious, for one thing, and the characterisation of pretty much everyone so far has been amazing.

I'm debating whether my obsessive need to unite all of my games below the steel banner of Steam is going to overpower "free game". I haven't heard a ton about Underrail and its graphics are the sort that often make it hard to commit if the gameplay isn't *amazing*.

Going with a 4224 cop, and I'm going to attempt to avoid stepping on the obvious landmines. I've actually got some useful information out of Kljasse instead of going for the laugh line I already saw, which makes her leave.

I also - just by looking at things - somehow picked up the task to do karaoke based on the damaged cassette song I hated so much I tore it out. I blame the necktie.

I'm making a lot of saves, but I'm going to try and resist the urge to ignore them as best as I can. But "You suffer chest pains reaching up for your tie. You are no longer able to attempt to reach for your tie again until you level up." ... *quickload*

Still, it's a really cool moment to look at a jumble of footprints and pick out exactly how many people there were, and several distinct characteristics for some of the people from the mess of footprints. Maybe I can pull off this "pretending to be a cop" thing after all.

I haven't actually loaded a single time so far, my low intelligence, high empathy is going surprisingly well. I have an easy time making friends with the kids and the carefree dudes, and the others seems so perplexed by my character that they kinda just dump information on accident.

I did this before turning off the fan, but I had enough Health to soak the 1 loss and it came back to me as a +1 Health gain after I stood there dying for a moment. Also, turning the fan off right afterwards let me try again with a +3. Best to do it without the pants on, though.

The gameplay is using your skills to navigate the branching trees and finding clues in the enviornment. You have a lot of ways to approach any situation, but it’s all with the menus, there’s no traditional RPG combat or anything.

There is a lot of Reading, the RPG mechancis are basically a CYOA book with skill checks vs stats. Even combat is just more reading and COYA and skill rolls.
