For the last week or so, I've noticed that the Google Play Store is showing that Chrome is "Installing". It never finishes installing and I can't cancel it. I've tried force closing Chrome and I've even had an OS update install and reboot my phone since this started. It does not prevent me from updating my other apps, though. Any tips?

Doesn't seem to have done anything. I should blow out Chrome and reinstall, but all the open tabs I've been looking at for months.

Tried just installing the APK directly (grab it from APKMirror), either through the phone or ADB Push?

Is there a version of the Google Camera floating around that has both Portrait Mode and Night Sight on a Pixel XL? I've been using Camera NX from last year for portrait, but I've been really impressed with Night Sight. The stock Google Camera install on my phone only has Lens Blur. Also, finally did my Android 10 update today, I guess it's time to take the thread title into account and get AMDroid. Was pretty easy to get the alarms out of timely. I just bookmarked them, disabled Chrome, blew out the Play Store cache, reinabled, Chrome, and got it to update. I now wish there was a bookmark all tabs button...

Is the recommended file explorer still FX File Explorer? I've been using ES File Explorer Pro but it's gone, and I've used MIXplorer but the interface is distilled poop from a butt. I need something I can connect to a Windows network share so I can get my podcasts.

Don't know about malware but they sold out a while ago and it instantly turned into crap with useless "utilities" baked into it. I'm am still using the last good version, 3.2.5.5, and it's meeting every need I ever had just fine. (It is ugly by today's standards, though. The aesthetics, that is, not the interface.) I did try Solid a few times and every time there were lots of "umm okay how do I do {thing}?" moments.

SolidExplorer is listed in the OP as "is an option, I guess" so I just wanted confirmation. I download my podcasts with gPodder on my fileserver then move them to my phone for use in Smart Audiobook Player. It saves battery on my Nexus 6 over streaming through Pocket Casts. Moey posted:Wait, what happened to ES. As far as I can tell they were messing with their Google reviews, which is the only deadly sin with Google. I'm looking for a good app to import photos from my camera to my phone, which I do via USB-C. My workflow is Camera --> Phone (basic edits and culling in Lightroom CC) --> The Cloud --> My PC for deeper editing. These are JPEGS. If I want to edit RAW, I just use the SD Card slot on my computer, but since most of my photography is casual, I don't usually mess with RAW anymore. Currently, I use the Lightroom importer which is alright, but it displays images from the camera as squares whether they're portrait or landscape. It's annoying. That's the only thing I don't like about my process. Is there a better way to do this? A media organizer app or something? I don't know.

Anyone know if there are any decent cloud storage providers whose apps will sync arbitrary folders on Android without needing a crappy third-party tool. No being able to play my music through your embedded app music player is not a valid substitute, pCloud, give me actual offline files in the file system.
