I’m shocked that airport security seems to be effective at this.

It's not. Past programs similar to this they just monitor all communications of involved individuals and then when they see them texting about getting ready to leave and see the charge for the ticket go through, they just send a packet with a bunch of photos and relevant info to the airport head of security. It's the same way they were doing drug busts back when the early days of being able to intercept literally all data was a thing and they wanted to set up parallel evidentiary

As I've been saying for a while now, the Kurd thing in particular is just so antithetical to everything the GOP self identifies as traditionally. There's not level at which you can make a self interest claim. Like the traditional GOP thing to support would be looking the other way as the kurds waged a hypothetical atrocity campaign to eliminate all their competition in the area while US SOF sits around making sure that they're safe. Literally throwing away international influence for exactly nothing in return to the benefit of Russia and Syria and Turkey is some poo poo they would normally accuse dems of.

This may actually not be true as Bevin is the most hated governor in the history of the state. The Attorney General has made a very good run at him by being against him since day one and has sued the administration successfully many times over his bullshit. He has developed a really good brand so far. Kentucky is a key battleground for the governorship because the Trump Admin has made it a test ground for their policies so taking this governorship is really important.

Edit: The not tru part being slanted Bevin

kind of into it, really

The voters of this state though are still impressively terrible at voting against their own self interests. This is pretty deep MAGALAND and an absolutely horrid Bevin is still preferable to anyone with a D in front of them. Even though his dad was a fairly popular governor (That Bevin replaced)

Also Beshear's campaign has been rather passive. There's Bevin ads everywhere and I see almost nothing from Beshear.

Trump’s opinions on things are viewed only through a business and monetary lens if he’s not involved. It’s kinda amazing to see. Like if you asked his opinions about soccer, he would probably say it’s a good sport because it makes England a lot of money or something wild.

What a mess. No wonder somebody started the rumor that she was an ambassadors wife and had immunity.
So technically Trump was harboring a fugitive from UK justice in the White House?

In her testimony, Ms. Hill described her fears that Mr. Sondland represented a counterintelligence risk because his actions made him vulnerable to foreign governments who could exploit his inexperience. She said Mr. Sondland extensively used a personal cellphone for official diplomatic business and repeatedly told foreign officials they were welcome to come to the White House whenever they liked.

Ms. Hill said that his invitations, which were highly unusual and not communicated to others at the White House, prompted one instance in which Romanian officials arrived at the White House without appointments, citing Mr. Sondland.

Trump making a dumbassed claim about making new nuclear weapons means he's either making poo poo up again, or someone accidentally told him a state secret and forgot that he leaks like sieve. At this point I'm going to go with the former but the latter isn't out of play. He may have even told Putin before he told anyone else.

Minnesota is not the liberal bastion people think it is. It stays liberal, but just barely. Hillary won the state by 1.5%, so if Trump flips a state in 2020, that will be the one. Virginia going red on the other hand, as their model predicts, is just absurd. It has not only flipped blue, but is trending bluer.

The salient part of my criticism is that they're using three single-issue models (pocketbook, stock market, and unemployment) that are clearly not applicable to a Trump election after 2018 broke from their historical performance. None of those inadequate models are a good reason to believe that Trump will do better in Minnesota in 2020 than he did in 2016, and publishing them without massive disclaimers is a waste of everyone's time (although I guess scaring people into coming out against Trump is useful).
