You are not required to list that vote as ‘abstain,’ you just need to skip it. Sonny Kiss Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Kiss is a prospect that’s signed with AEW. While he’s great, he’s very charismatic and athletic in the ring. He came off as a future star in his match with Peter Avalon at Fight for the Fallen, and he managed to get himself over in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing. Karl Fredericks Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Fredericks is one of the New Japan young lions training at their L.A. Dojo under Shibata. He won this year’s Young Lions Cup after defeating Shota Umino. He went 6-1 in the tournament with his only loss coming against Ren Narita. Fredericks teamed with Clark Connors to put on some good undercard tag matches on New Japan shows around the time of the G1. Awesome Kong Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Awesome Kong was primarily focused on her acting career, as she is a featured player on the excellent wrestling-themed show GLOW. According to cagematch, she last had a match in September 2017 until her surprise appearance at AEW Double or Nothing in May of this year. She again appeared in the Casino Battle Royale as the muscle for Brandi Rhodes at All Out in August. Hikaru Shida Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 One of the most talented wrestlers in the world of joshi pro wrestling and beyond, Shida looks set to take the world by storm as the first joshi wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling. As her farewell to Japan tour wraps up, Shida has continued to put on top tier matches, and despite losing her shot at becoming the first ever AEW Women's champion to fellow Emi Sakura disciple, Riho, Shida surely must be considered a future titleholder in the promotion. Thanks to George W Bushi for his help with this profile! LAX, Ortiz & Santana Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 LAX has been establishing themselves as one of the top U.S. tag teams over the past two years. They spent most of that time with Impact Wrestling as their home promotion, where they won their tag team championship four times. They also had entertaining feuds with Hernandez & Homicide and then the Lucha Bros. They also expanded their presence on the indies, making acclaimed appearances in PWG and PROGRESS. They’ve now signed with AEW and made their debut on All Out with a run in on both the Young Bucks and the Lucha Bros. Sareee Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 For anyone who's been watching Sareee in 2019, the face of Diana surely must be considered a wrestler of the year candidate. The 23-year-old has put on classic matches with the likes of Chihiro Hashimoto, Takumi Iroha, Aja Kong, DASH Chisako and Tsukasa Fujimoto earning her the attention and interest of Triple H and WWE. Despite her small size, Sareee was able to dispatch powerhouses Chihiro Hashimoto and Aja Kong to claim the Sendai Girls and Diana championships. If this is her final year in Japanese pro wrestling, then she's going out with a bang. Thanks to George W Bushi for his help with this profile! Nueva Generacion Dinamitas: Cuatrero, Forastero, & Sanson Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 NGD are easily the most consistent trio in lucha today. They’ve held the Mexican National Trios Championship for over two years and this year they’ve had great defenses against teams made up of Angel de Oro, Soberano Jr., Niebla Roja, Barbaro Cavernario, Negro Casas, Titan, Triton, Esfinge, and others. Dominik Dijakovic Eliminated in Round 1 of 2017 WH-128 by Samoa Joe Dijakovic made a name for himself in RoH and on the indies in 2017, culminating with a five-star match against Keith Lee in PWG. He didn’t make his debut for WWE until May 2018, and he didn’t become a player until December of the same year. Despite a torn meniscus that put him on the shelf in March 2019, he’s been able to return at full strength with a feud against Keith Lee again Jacob Fatu Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Fatu is considered one of the top prospects in U.S. wrestling. Just seven years into his career, MLW has bet big on him, making him the leader of the Contra Unit heel group and giving him their world championship. He’s been praised for his combination of size and agility. Brian Cage Eliminated in Round 1 of 2017 WH-128 by Sheamus A freakish athlete, Cage combines great agility with amazing strength. He also has had success in a diverse set of promotions, getting over in AAA, PWG, and Impact. He’s also held the Impact World Championship since April of this year. SCU: Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, & Scorpio Sky Daniels: eliminated in Round 1 of 2017 WH-128 by Chuck Taylor Kazarian & Scorpio: not appearing in the 2017 WH-128 SCU is just about the perfect fun babyface midcard act, and they’ve shined in the role when they were previously in RoH and now in AEW. This year they’ve already had great matches with Stronghearts & against A Boy, his Dinosaur, and a Small Boy. Their pre-match promos help them instantly get over with any crowd they perform in front of. Tom Lawlor Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Originally a trained pro wrestler, Lawlor entered MMA and had a successful career with UFC before having a controversial positive drug test that effectively ended his career there. After that, Lawlor relaunched his wrestling career and became the MLW World Champion after a feud with Low Ki. He’s also had great matches with Chris Dickinson at Beyond and against Davey Boy Smith Jr. at the most recent GCW Bloodsport show. A-Kid Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 A-Kid burst onto the scene thanks to a five-star match against Zack Sabre Jr. in 2018 and a four-and-three-quarter match against Will Ospreay. Both took place in A-Kid’s home promotion, While Wolf Wrestling in Spain. A-Kid has since expanded his presence, making appearances in RevPro, GCW, CHIKARA, and PWG. Alex Zayne Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Zayne is a new top indie star who’s building a big name for himself off of some great appearances in GCW. A lot of it is based off of a 630 con giro senton he did at GCW’s Backyard Wrestling. After his great matches with Tony Deppen and Blake Christian, he’s since made his debut in PWG as the partner of Joey Janela in a strong tag against the team of… Deppen and Christian. Time is a flat circle. Undisputed Era, Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish, & Roderick Strong O’Reilly: eliminated in Round 2 by Pentagon Jr. Fish: eliminated in Round 1 of 2017 WH-128 by Shinsuke Nakamura Strong: eliminated in Round 2 by Hiroshi Tanahashi Undisputed Era is the hottest heel stable in WWE today. While this trio is lead by Adam Cole, the performances of O’Reilly, Fish & Strong this year have been very strong. Fish & O’Reilly are on their second run as NXT Tag Team Champions, while Strong now holds the North American Championship. They’ve all had great matches in the last two years, and should continue to do so going forward. Shawn Spears Eliminated in Round 1 of 2017 WH-128 by Tyler Bate The former Tye Dillinger has joined to AEW, where he underwent a major shift in personality by turning heel with a vicious chair shot on his friend Cody. After being joined by Tully Blanchard (who did a great job of managing him), Spears went on to have a great match when he unsuccessfully challenged Cody. With great in-ring skills, Spears should be more than a good hand going forward. The Usos, Jey & Jimmy Uso Jey: eliminated in Round 1 of 2017 WH-128 by Hiromu Takahashi Jimmy: eliminated in Round 1 of 2017 WH-128 by Tomohiro Ishii The Usos have been at the center of WWE’s tag divisions for years now. The twins are nearing a full decade as a top team in the E, and they’re now at six world tag team championship reigns. They have been hamstrung recently by legal issues this year, but if they can get that part of their lives straight, they should be able to pick up where they left off. Nick Aldis Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Aldis is an unexpected hero of wrestling over the past two years. Thanks to good promos and a great program with Cody leading up to last year’s All In, he managed to make the NWA Championship meaningful for the first time since Shane Douglas threw it to the ground in ECW. The former Magnus, he’s really improved his in-ring game where he’s had matches against Cody & Marty Scurll on NWA-promoted shows that have been praised. Takuya Nomura Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Just 25, Nomura’s quickly establishing himself as one of the top young talents in Japan. He was trained by Hideki Suzuki, who’s the last trainee of Billy Robinson. The junior heavyweight had what might be the best match of his life in singles action against Yuji Okabayashi at Osaka Surprise 42 in July. Nomura’s only championship so far is a share of the Yokohama Shopping Street Six Man Tag Team Championship, Marty Scurll Eliminated in Round 3 of 2017 WH-128 by AJ Styles Scurll is another talented wrestler that appears to have been hurt by Ring of Honor’s down year. He started the year very hot after his work with the Elite, but seems to have cooled off after signing full time with RoH. He also had a solid showing in New Japan’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament, where he had standout matches with Jonathan Gresham, Shingo Takagi, & SHO. In RoH, he and his stablemates in Villain Enterprises have been able to work together to make the RoH Six Man Tag Team Championship mean more than it did before. He’s charismatic and talented in the ring, so he should be able to regain his momentum in the near future. Kenou Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Kenou is a key part of the NOAH roster. He had a run with the GHC Heavyweight Championship early in 2018, which he won off of Eddie Edwards and dropped to Takashi Sugiura. He challenged then-champion Kaito Kiyomiya in January of this year to get the belt back. While he was unsuccessful, he had a great match with him. He also had a good performance in the first N-1 Victory, with very good matches against Masaaki Mochizuki, Katsuhiko Nakajima and Sugiura. Suwama Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Suwama has been with All Japan since his debut in 2004. He’s a former six time Triple Crown champion, though he has not won that belt since 2017. While Suwama is still features in singles matches, his greatest achievements the past two years have been in his Violent Giants tag team with Shuji Ishikawa. Their match with Daisuke Sekimoto and Yuji Okabayashi earlier this year was one of the best tag matches all year. R-Truth Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 In some ways, R-Truth is the best booked babyface in WWE today. He’s the featured player in the 24/7 division, which plays to his comedic strengths, and even when he loses the belt, he’s kept in the title picture. He’s probably the best person on the roster when it comes to performing in the comedic skits that WWE favors, and he’s skilled enough to remain entertaining into the future. El Hijo del Vikingo Did not appear in 2017 WH-128 Vikingo emerged this year as the hottest lucha libre star going, thanks in large part to an amazing match he had with Laredo Kid. Very few wrestlers have ever had the explosiveness and impact that he does on his high flying moves. His trios matches, where he most often teams with Myzteziz Jr. & Laredo Kid, are often fun and very chaotic affairs. Your ballot: Sonny Kiss vs. Karl Fredericks vs. Awesome Kong Hikaru Shida vs. LAX vs. Sareee Nueva Generacion Dinamitas vs. Dominik Dijakovic vs. Jacob Fatu Brian Cage vs. SCU vs. Tom Lawlor A-Kid vs. Alex Zayne vs. Undisputed Era Shawn Spears vs. The Usos vs. Nick Aldis Takuya Nomura vs. Marty Scurll vs. Kenou Suwama vs. R-Truth vs. El Hijo del Vikingo Voting closes at 7 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, or whenever I get in front of a computer after that.

Karl Fredericks Sareee Jacob Fatu Brian Cage Undisputed Era The Usos Kenou Suwama This block was a lot easier generally than the last one, with only the tie between Sareee, Shida & LAX being hard to pick from. Felt a bit odd voting for a Young Lion but Fredericks really is very good at all the fundamentals, meanwhile I don't think I've seen Kiss outside of a battle royale environment. I don't watch much joshi but what I have seen, Sareee is incredible. An absolute must watch only she's mostly in a promotion that doesn't make tape very often. But what does get out there is must watch and I'm repeating that phrase because I mean it. She's amazing. The only bad thing about Kenoh really is that I see his name spelt both Kenou & Kenoh and that's confusing. Other than that? He's cool. Big floppy blonde mop of hair, leader of Kongo, he kicks good, what more do you need? I am glad Mochi got through at least. The year he's had certainly outshines Street Profits hanging around in the background on Raw not wrestling. His N1 in NOAH was good, he just had a very fun Dream Gate match in Dragon Gate with Ben-K, his tag team with Keisuke Okuda and I'm so into the fallout of Hyo Watanabe becoming H.Y.O. and leaving Mochizuki Dojo for RED. Hope my second favourite grumpy old dude after MiSu kicks the poo poo out of that little punk.

Sonny Kiss - he is a great wrestler and a beautiful man that makes me question my sexuality Hikaru Shida - never had a chance to see Sareee so I'm going with the other great joshi Dominik Dijakovic - he's very very good SCU - this is the WORST poll I have EVER been in Undisputed Era - honestly feels a bit unfair to lump Fish, O'Reilly and Roddy into one entry, each would legit be able to have a deep run on their own The Usos - this going to be like Rusev where they were the best thing going during their feud with the New Day and everyone's gonna forget cause of how WWE has poisoned the well Marty Scurll - can't wait for his AEW debut R-Truth - a very impressive career rejuvenation Sonny Kiss Hikaru Shida Dominik Dijakovic SCU Undisputed Era The Usos Marty Scurll R-Truth
