Yeah I played Wildlands with some friends, and it was good goofy fun. Then some Predator event came out and it loving sucked and we stopped playing the game after trying to beat it for some time. But before that happened, the most memorable thing I remember doing was finding out that you could deploy a drone while you’re a passenger in a helicopter. This would often immediately gently caress up the helicopter you’re in if it happens to spawn inside of the blades, or if you crash it into the blades because your first instinct is to make the thing fly up. I don’t remember exactly what would happen, but I think it would destroy the blades, and cause all the sirens to start going off as you and your team start plummeting to the earth - but I think you could still abandon ship and hope you’re high enough to pull out your parachute or wingsuit or whatever was in the game. So we’d be traveling in a helicopter - me: ‘oh is that an abandoned helicopter up ahead? Lol I guess we don’t need this one anymore, boop!’ Friends: (with sirens blaring) ‘God drat it’. ‘Oh poo poo this enemy helicopter is really high level or something - oh hold on lets all run indoors and deploy our drones and kamikaze them into the helicopter.’

Yeah the random fuckery with friends was what made Wildlands so good. I remember being able to dodge the blasts themselves, but the really frustrating and unfun part was they would just hit the ground or a tree and insta KO me anyway. I think when we failed we had to spend several minutes traveling back to the event area too? Admittedly it was kinda cool at first, to try and theorize a way to beat it, and all have our backs to each other so we can see everything.

We respawned right next to it, but we played the game late so they may have changed that. Yeah the blasts had huge AoE that would go through trees, you had to play with the terrain or hide behind rocks pretty much. It was a very frustrating experience at times and we were not far from just giving up tbh.

This sucks. The only Destiny 2 bug I ever got is the one where the game will randomly drop down to ~20 FPS even if you can run it at 60 FPS max settings and nothing really lets you fix it. It's not even a funny one.

I have 1400 hours in Warframe and I've put about 20 hours in D2 since it's now F2P and one of my friends really enjoys it. It's not particularly good or bad, just kind of meh. I had the same reaction to Halo, as well, though. Like, they're competently made games but there's nothing really special or engaging about them imo.
