Pick a creature of your own to block it with and repeat such that you'll have at least one creature remaining. I don't recall what stuff like Ki or BP does or what the Blue or Yellow attacks do, but the above is basically the majority of the game.

Alright lads, wish me luck - I'm going to the Pokemon Centre in London. On opening day the lines were 7 hours so I thoroughly expect to get there, our group to look at the line and go "gently caress that". Still, off chance we'll be able to make it.
