Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed shitposting.
I saw the movie with my grandpa. It's not very good, but my uncle (his oldest son) died of AIDS when I was like 10 and it sparked a great conversation about him, so I'll always be thankful for that.

Edit: Hell of a snipe, I'm referring to the movie Rent.

Thats about the size of it. Also any form of gainful employment is selling out and you should throw all consequences to the wind and live in the moment no matter how stupid it is.

I think only one was actually middle class? He was slumming it and bitching about how his parents would call just to say supportive things about his lifestyle.

He actually ended up with a job that could have paid their rent but quit because being unemployed and squatting is the better way to live.

The only thing I know about about Rent is one song mentions huevos rancheros and it instantly makes me hungry for eggs and refried beans every single time.

That video is basically all I really know about Rent (aside from the song from Team America) and I feel good in my desire to not learn more about it.

I feel I'd appreciate these more if I knew anything about Les Mis other than the references in that one episode of DS9 where the traitor security chief was obsessed with it, and Sisko poisoned an entire planet because he doesn't gently caress around.

The '90s movie with Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush is solid and worth checking out, it's a good story.

No that's a straight adaptation of the book (for what it's worth I don't like musicals either but I like the story enough to tolerate those versions too)

That's precisely the video I was thinking about, actually. Approximately a trillion years ago I started watching Rent, got bored, and wandered off to do other things. I was just like "oh hey a bunch of narcissistic twits being narcissistic drat it I'm an art major and have to deal with this crap every day I don't want to watch a movie about it." Then she put how terrible every character is into words better than I ever possibly could.
