Corbyn's only gotten involved very late in the process - in the last month or two, with the statement about access and compulsory licensing at Conference. This is about the same stage as Boris took an interest. This is in not to say that his actions didn't help! It almost certainly added to the pressure. But the issue was already well established on the political agenda by that point and it was pretty much in the endgame phase.
