This is the crux of these mother fuckers. They start with the assumption that their political opponents must be crooked and cheats and "playing unfairly" because why else would they be political opponents?! That is then used to justify their own awfully crooked cheating, and it creates a catch 22 feedback loop because to continue to justify their own behavior, which they have taken to be normal and good, they have to find reasons in their opponents behavior to continue their own, whether there is any or not. That is why there is no point talking. It's the same with christians; they begin with the literal assumption that you are a sinner destined for devil rape if not one of them, and there is no way to reconcile that because it is one of the foundation pillars of their brain and the reality it chooses to perceive.
