Just in case you're not aware, Razer had this done a year or two ago with the big switches for a convention.

I'm liking the thumb trackball on the MX Ergo less than I hoped I would, but I do like the better wrist angle a whole lot.

Maybe the MX Vertical will be more needs-suiting?

i have one of these. i like it, it's as close as you can get to the one true trackball (mste), but despite being called the "huge" its too small. if i lay my palm on the palm rest, my digits are all too long by about one joint to comfortably engage buttons or the trackball. if i shift my hand so that i can comfortably use the controls, my hand is in a claw shape, perched on its heel at the base of the trackball. not good ergonomics.

mixing things up helps a lot

content: they really changed the kinesis freestyle edge. got a new one for home and it’s vibrant af. they also have a freestyle pro with less options now for work if you don’t want the gaudy rgb options

I always said those mice were mistargeted. Instead of trying to sell to a bunch of 16 year olds saving up their allowance, double the price and sell it to broken down olds like myself.

Is there a way to see your n-most common actions on a given system? That would be really useful at developing a list like this, but data-driven to meet your own personal computing shortcut needs?

after three years of postdoc travel i have just this morning gotten my proper desk, chair, mouse and keyboard (which is indeed mechanical but not fancy enough to actually warrant mention in this thread) out of storage and setup at a now permanent home. no more working full days bent over my laptop like an animal. mood v. good.

it's good that they got rid of the lovely membrane keyboard but it's still cheapo overseas manufacturing

which is why it is like half the cost of the regular kinesis, and 1/4th of the cost of a maltron
