It's very disappointing compared to the first season. Not just the lack of the amazing scenes from the original, but even outside of action scenes it's stiff and bad. It's probably decent fun for anyone new to the series...the writing is still strong after all. But the lack of resources put into it is painfully obvious, which just comes off as insulting after the success of the first season...you know it could have been made better if the people behind it hadn't chosen to deliberately short it on time or staff.

Yeah, the animation quality dropped drastically. It's still good, it's using the same story and scene blocking, but compared to how fuckin' smooth and high quality season one was it's a letdown. Which is a shame, because Tatsumaki deserves better graphics for her own ridiculous powers. Also, we got spoiled by the end of season 1 fight with Boros, that was one of the prettiest pieces of animation I can recall seeing anywhere.

Final issue of Giant Days is out as of today. I'm really gonna miss having monthly Daisy/Susan/Esther time. How will I survive without getting to see Susan Ptolemy's razor sharp fangs popping up at least once an issue.

It won't change your life but I'm very much enjoying the sense of humor in The Other End. More people should check it out.

Today is Thistil Mistil Kistil's tenth anniversary. Well, technically 8th anniversary because it was on hiatus for 2 years, but still, quite an accomplishment. I'm quite proud of how far this little comic that started with a dead Norse kid on Halloween 2009 has come and it's one of the few comics I still actively read, even after all these years because of its story, setting and characters.

The final chapter of O Human Star started yesterday. I'll be sad to see it end, but it had a good run and the characters all had complete arcs. It's a good comic.

The question is what are the other six? What are the Seven Seals of bad webcomics? Those which are, perhaps not the worst, there is always worse, but certainly the pillars of What Bad Webcomics Are. 1. Moon Over June 2. Goblins 3. Dominic Deegan 4. VGCats 5. Strong Female Protagonist 6. Sinfest 7. Whatever poo poo Bleedman is doing these days. And when all seven are open, Jack will return. I refuse to include Sonichu on the grounds that there's no comedy value in beating a dead horse.

I flipped through a but of Moon Over June, and it's... Improved? The art isn't instantly repellant, at least, and the characters actually seem to be enjoying sex now. But it's still just lazy sex jokes.

Honestly I don't think any of these modern attempts at webcomic horrors have managed to surpass the classic Look What I Brought Home yet for sheer irredeemable shittiness.

Schlock finishing out with exactly twenty years of daily updates without missing an update (even when the hosting center exploded) would be kinda impressive.

Doubly so because Howard Tayler has a lot of side projects he's involved in too. No wonder he's best friends with Brandon Sanderson, between the two of them if they stop writing or drawing constantly they'll explode.

Is Megatokyo still updating? The last page it posted was back in August after seemingly consistent updates prior to that. Or is it known for taking extended hiatuses like that?

So in like 19 years and 1500 comics, has Fred Gallagher managed to resolve a single story thread? Well, he Kickstarted the Megatokyo Visual Novel in 2013, and the last update for that was in 2017 where they're 'totally definitely working on it for sure' So, no. nine-gear crow posted:Is Megatokyo still updating?
