You must have a cone of vision narrower than MGS guards to not see them. Also the kids' biggest grievance is fighting against their Chinese identity, why would I cheer them on? Everyone has to take a side somewhere.

Does anyone deny the answer is "yeah, probably?" whatever7 posted:Does BLM marchers go into pro blue supermarkets and mobile stores and ransack them? You must have a cone of vision narrower than MGS guards to not see them. There are't really a lot of American supermarkets that are pro-blue. Generally they try to be neutral between the primary colors and avoid picking sides

They ARE marching against the most important thing to them.

Like, he didn't call for sanctions (because there's an asymmetry here, I can't imagine a situation where anyone who was seriously seeking office would do that), but Trump did call for the Russians to hack the DNC. Like, out loud, in public. And he actually won! Sort of. The obvious tankie take here is that bourgeois elections are all a scam anyway, so whether someone would be "allowed" to run here is irrelevant, because the ruling classes would never allow for a dissenting voice of that kind of be heard. C'mon, Zimbardo, step it up.

Norton the First posted:Or you're just bad at expressing yourself succinctly and intelligently. One or the other, right? The question I asked you was a very simple one. The only way to make it more simple would be to completely remove the part you didn't understand and replace it with a different question entirely. It's a pretty unambiguous situation here, understanding the question would require knowledge that you don't have, and so you demonstrated that you don't have it by not understanding the question. Of course, if you did have that knowledge, you would've understood that the question was a rhetorical one in the first place. Me asking you it was just dunking on you for literally not understanding the concept of class analysis, that people's actions have a class character. whatever7 was drawing attention to the fact the protests are not about the concerns of the poor, the working class. He even gave you examples of some working class concerns, which all fall under the umbrella of "poverty". This is like socialist political analysis 101 stuff which you'd think people would bother to learn, both generally before offering their opinions on a country, but especially one ran by a communist party.

gradenko_2000 posted:is something happening with the PRC economy? bank runs? From what I've read it's that smaller regional/local banks have been over lending and getting into some bad debt and then having their credit ratings lowered by the National Bank of China and if it gets really bad they just nationalize the smaller banks. But people have "been spreading rumors" about smaller banks causing people to bank run them, the rumor spreaders get arrested though and all the cash in the banks are apparently protected by insurance.
