Ended up watching the recent episodes. 127 is Boruto and Sarada on a quest to buy Make-Out Tactics since Jiraiya wrote that book and they want to learn about him. 128 kicks off the arc proper, so i skipped 'till near the end and saw Boruto and Sasuke get transported and realize when they are.

Yeah, I’ve kind of been enjoying this arc so far (even if the plot seems like it’d be a better fit for a movie rather than just a series of episodes), hopefully that’ll last all the way through. Sasuke hasn't been showing off his Sharingan and he and Jiraya didn't interact much in the anime IIRC. Kakashi OTOH, were he present, would know Sasuke by sight, and infer the identity of Bort about five seconds later.

That said, I’m curious if Kakashi’s going to show up at some point though.
