This is why the people who think sports rights are going down yet are probably not correct. CBS and NBC have dedicated sports networks in need of programming, ESPN and Fox probably wants to keep it away from them, and also pull stuff from each other. Plus I imagine Sinclair wants to keep the stuff they just paid 10 billion for and maybe make a bid at getting back local some stuff from the cable-company-owned-networks.

You might want to go read the sports journalism thread, but to answer your question, yes, it’s essentially dead. The entire staff quit, there is currently no one on staff to even write an article. They had some freelance guy write an article last week and he was instantly shamed into oblivion on Twitter.
