Netflix my in-laws pay for and share the account with three other households. My dad lets me use his HBO account and I pay for Hulu (which I'll likely convert to whatever paring D+ does). Prime is an easy one for me to keep since it's paired with shipping and I split that payment up with three other people. Like if I had to pay for everything, I'd likely only have Netflix, Prime and Hulu/D+. EVerything else I'm happy to pass on because gently caress paying for any one service just to watch one major show. NBC and CBS thinking I'm going to pay them 8 bucks a month to watch the office or Star Trek are having a laugh. Xenoborg posted:We'll see if it lasts. I have Netflix and Hulu that my kids use, and Prime is just a perk that I have for abusing Amazon. I dont see myself paying for HBO, or the other premium channels.

Plex is a media player that lets you organise a file server very easily, tracks last watched, lets you swap transfer rate and resolution in the media player itself, its very useful. Works on pc, smart tv, and consoles with their own apps. Leta ypu have a file server set up at home and watch stuff from it via internet hence the netflix comparison. Also has a phone ap but you have to pay premium to stream from your file server to the phone ap. Plex is basically a fork of Kodi. Think of it as a streaming service you set up on your PC. It's pretty dang simple and you can toss torrents into folders and play them on your ipad or phone or ps4/roku/whatever. Theres a library identification scraper that identifies everything and puts in netflix style titles and actor lists and poo poo and its super fast also legit companies like WB and poo poo have streaming channels through it basically pirating now requires a private tracker to find stuff quick. prolly wanna ask in the discord if you wanna know more

I've never had a problem finding torrents on PB but using other sites is a nightmare with 1/10th the results so I dunno where you get that from. Maybe I'm missing out on other good torrent sites that no one seems to mention?
