Depends why he's opposed to drug use, you'd likely need to talk to him about it, and it's quite possible he might just not be comfortable with it.

Just asked the missus, about this. From the police's perspective the operators have been told it would be transferred to the action centre (because they barely have enough staff to handle the calls), and that the action centre would log it for investigation, then it gets passed back to the police investigation teams. This is not entirely a police thing, this is yet another private sector contractor turning out to be worse than loving useless. The thing to remember is that when prosecutions aren't pursued, 99% of the time it's the CPS refusing to act unless they have absolute certainty the conviction is guaranteed. This feeds back to officers developing a culture of not investigating things because they already know it's pointless. I know it's tempting to ascribe malice to every action the police take, and they absolutely have a meathead boot-boy problem with their rank and file, but in this case it's more down to the cuts to funding and numbers that has driven the police to shunting a fairly important chunk of their reporting off to a private firm who are doing gently caress all with it.

^^ sounds horrendous ^^ Corbyn votes: A couple of years ago, I downloaded all his votes from 1997 to 2015 I think it was. In that period of time, he voted against the Labour whip approx 510 times. In the same time period he voted WITH the labour whip over 3100 times. That is 85% loyal over nearly 20 years. Has anyone analysed the number of votes against the whip of other politicians? The only other one I've seen is the one where since 2010 Jo Swinson voted WITH the tory whip more often than Hunt and Gove (who appear to have voted against the tory whip around 300 times in just 8 or 9 years if I remember correctly). A former labour mp I know told me that much of the time when MPs vote they don't actually know what they are voting for (there are very many votes) and just go in the lobby they're told to go in. He mentioned one occasion when he was in a lobby with Jack Straw and said 'what are we voting on' and Straw said 'I have no idea'. He said there was an 'awkward squad' of around 40MPs (of which Corbyn was one - he didn't confirm whether he meant just labour MPs or all MPs) who wouldn't vote in a lobby unless they knew what they were voting for. "That's good" said I. He looked surprised that I thought it was another plus to Corbyn.

In 13 years he couldn’t find anyone else who had the ~charisma~ to run the country. 13 years in power and the choice was still “me personally or right wing hellscape”. I mean, obviously better him than the coup but holy poo poo why make it so easy for the rightists to paint you as the bad guy? Just find one competent human being, you had 13 years to do it, why wasn’t there a stable of like 10 people? Maybe Putin’s great innovation was playing pass-the-parcel with Medvedev.

(Still the best operation flashpoint death quote too) E: full excerpt: Professor Albert Einstein was asked by friends at a recent dinner party what new weapons might be employed in World War III. Appalled at the implications, he shook his head. After several minutes of meditation, he said. “I don’t know what weapons might be used in World War III. But there isn’t any doubt what weapons will be used in World War IV.” “And what are those?” a guest asked. “Stone spears,” said Einstein. It’s anecdotal but still pretty undeniable.
