I mean to say it wasn't as polished as Microsoft's solution would be an understatement, but it seemed to work well. For anyone who hasn't done it, installing it is a real adventure. Instead of a step-by-step installer like you'd expect from just about any other piece of software, you have to read through lots of steps in the manual, each of which involves running some commands, knowing exactly what type of hard drive controller you have, etc. There was a lot of going in and out of various tools, making configuration files, and so on. I guess classic Unix operating systems were like this too?

It's by 8bitdo, which is a good sign. For whatever it's worth, I have an 8bitdo SNES-alike controller and it's absolute top quality. My hands literally cannot tell it apart from an original Nintendo-made controller. For my purposes, I'd prefer if it was wired USB instead of bluetooth, but it still works perfectly as it is. I can't even detect any lag from the wireless when playing Mario or Street Fighter II, and I swear I can feel the lag from wireless mice, and no I'm NOT just imagining it.

welp that's getting ordered soon and yeah, 8bitdo makes very very good controllers. I own a few SF30s and they're incredibly good quality, 1:1 SNES controllers. I can't recommend them enough. e. 8bitdo stuff is pretty choice. I use the original nespro30 with the clip on my phone for RetroArch. My only complaint about the newer one is that it can't wake up the switch, so I end up using the Pro controller half the time anyway. To link it back, if you retrogame, I've heard that the 8bitdo Bluetooth adaptors for the retro consoles are pretty choice, as is the GC adaptor for Switch.

I got this as a birthday present when I was 8, and man I don't remember it being that bad, but it was bad. Used a serial to 3.5mm audio port to transfer photos. Resolution of 160x120. You could save a whopping 6 images at a time. Took like 15 seconds to transfer each image. The software that came with it was the best part for kid me.
