Even funnier is Johnson was asked about Islamophobia and also tried a boilerplate answer but clearly didn't give a poo poo whereas Corbyn's response seemed more genuine.

Even in that story, the use of the N-word doesn't make sense in the context he said it in. (Yes that phrase, as awful as it is has a specific meaning. And it doesn't work as a response to the question he was asked.)

sort of a tangent but i think one of many reasons why i don't like bastani style FALC is cos many people myself included don't mind hard work and coming home knackered if what we've done that day is worthwhile and produces tangible things to be proud of. helping a pregnant lady get to theatre so she can have her baby, doing your bit to build a new school, etc.

sitting around all day while robots give us manicures would probably be a guarantee of mental health crises and spiking suicide rates tbh, seems so incredibly spiritually empty.

I don't know how many podcasts you already know so some of these may be obvious but...

Old games and sometimes new ones:
Watch Out For Fireballs - long reviews of classic games
Abject Suffering - the WOFF boys (who are goons, incidentally) do shorter reviews of bad old games
Cane and Rinse - kind of the same but UK based and with occasional input from weirdos on something called a "forum"
Retronauts - old game stuff, could be about basically anything retro
New Player Has Joined - fun interviews with people about their favourite game
Nostalgia Goggles - two guys replay a retro game and decide if you need nostalgia goggles, a nostalgia monocle or nothing to enjoy it.

Wrestling:
Something to Wrestle - reviews old PPVs and wrestling folks' careers.

In general, everyone here needs to listen to The Atomic Hobo, a nuclear journalist covers something to do with the UK's plans for nuclear war every week. It is very very good.

Sustainababble is UK-based environment podcast I think people here would like.

For humour, Gossipmongers is Joe Wilkinson, David Earl and Poppy Hilstead reading out the frequently obscene and nonsensical gossip sent to them. Finally, I don't tend to enjoy the podcast format of two-or-three people sitting around chatting but Chris and Rosie Ramsey's Shagged Married Annoyed is really really funny.

Physical labour is probably one of the marks of non-bullshit work. And also one that could be shared far more equitably.

The idea of working a 40 hour week until you're 75 is obviously one cooked up by someone who has never worked a manual job, and 4 hour shifts of necessary work until a reasonable age is far better than making up jobs so that we're all busy all the time.

Russell's In Praise of Idleness and Graeber's Bullshit Jobs are probably more realistic alternatives.

Get rid of stupid make work, share out the real work more equitably, more people are then doing jobs where they can say "I made that" or "I fixed that" or "I helped that person" and can feel meaningful, and because it's shared out and more people are doing less work, we all have more free time to do stuff. And a society structured more around free time than work as a moral good could mean a culture focused on making the most of that, so it might be planting potatoes or machining projects with His Divine Shadow more than robot manicures.
