The YKS guys are probably the best guests I've heard recently. I laughed so much when it was revealed that Mitch poo poo so long they had to record the rest of the ep the next day.

That was a great episode. I like YKS a lot but they're even better with someone lighter to play off of.

To anyone who listened to this and goes to check out YKS for the first time and it doesn't click for you, which I've heard a few times: try Blocked Party, another podcast featuring related internet guys talking about internet bullshit but this one is Canadian so it's friendlier and more accessible.

I've never heard of YKS prior to the doughboys being guests a few weeks ago and they play off Nick and Mitch so well. I almost feel bad for Yusong considering how much poo poo they gave him. Great ep overall, I wish Cook Out had a location in Dallas because it sounds good as hell.

The Go Off Kings is also very good as far as twitch streams go, has a similar energy and Mike Hale guests a lot (he also very rarely does his own stream but it's always at like 2 am EST when he's drunk and belligerent)

I've tried listening to YKS before and it didn't grab me, but I loved them on this episode and it's got me eager to give it another shot.

Also, gotta agree with Mitch, Cook Out is a 4.75 restaurant. It's good ("gud") at everything, but doesn't really excel at anything; also they're really stingy on some of the sides (3 nuggets is a good size for a "side" of nuggets, but opening your tray and finding like 4 onion rings is just heartbreaking.) You can drink the shake with a straw, but not until about 20-30 minutes after you get it depending on how hot it is outside.

Cajun chicken sandwich, chicken quesadilla and slaw, usually a peanut butter shake; put the slaw on the sandwich. (If I'm driving, I'll skip the slaw and go for fries. I don't think I've ever tried the bacon wrap, though, gotta give that a shot.)

I think what really spikes cookout into 5 forks is the price. You get an insane amount of food for like, $5-6.

Was a chaotic episode not in a bad way but I really dislike when the crowd heckles or tries to be funny, Gabrus has the right idea to just tell them to shut the gently caress up

I normally don't like crowd heckling, but I dig the hostile, angry vibe of most Doughboys audiences, it compliments the fully off-the-rails nature of the live shows and this one felt especially out of control.

Also Bait Bus is lame, Wiger needs to watch better fake-straight-guys-participate-in-gay-porn gay porn.

yea the heckling gets old fast but I do just love the general energy that 90% of Doughboy crowds have of 'we paid to come to a live show of a podcast we listen to, and gently caress you guys'. That's a powerful energy.

I was at the Doughboys show in Dallas where they reviewed Whataburger (which loving owns). My favorite part was Wiger's intro where he compared Whataburger to In-N-Out and we booed him so hard that he stopped and made a face. I'm pretty sure they actually liked Whataburger but it's super clear that if the audience likes the place they're reviewing that they get scared to give it poor reviews.

To be fair, we have In-N-Out in Dallas and it doesn't hold a candle to Whataburger. Their burgers are decent but their fries are straight up trash that shouldn't be eaten in any circumstance. I lived in the city where they opened the first In-N-Out in Texas and the drive thru had a sectioned off parking lot where people parked before they were allowed to even line up for the actual drive thru. I cant imagine waiting through all of that to have a decent burger and inedible fries.

The heckling is annoying but man the people who yelled dairy dude after mitch said he is the one with tits was loving great.

As an OG California surfer dude I will defend every aspect of In-N-Out until the day I die (To the point that driving up and down the cost from Portland to Lake Perris for Desert Daze, my friend and I hit up In-N-Out five times), but I get it. The fries are loving polarizing. That's not a word that should be used to describe fries.

Which is why I always order them as Animal Fries well done. :getin:

I don't even think it has anything to do with whether or not the crowd even likes the restaurant, it's all about cultural identity when they're reviewing local chains. The audiences take that poo poo personally. Which explains why the crowd didn't seem to give a poo poo with harsh ratings with White Castle, it wasn't regional enough.

Or it's because White Castle blows. Why is your main attribute "wet," White Castle?! I don't get it at all.

Nah it was way after that. Honestly he doesn’t really need to, but it is nice of him. He’s a nice boy. Dave Anthony was straight up reading poo poo verbatim, and even then he was only really called on it because one of the authors of something he read also has a podcast.

I don't care where he sourced the stories or who compiled his script, I just wish he'd read through it and look things up before the show. Yeah it's funny when both of them brainstorm, but it's funnier when Dave plays the Narrator and drops bizarre trivia on a confused Gary

Yeah that was ridiculous, Anthony knows what he’s doing is wrong but wants to be perceived as having done all the research himself. Even if he’s not bothering to request permission, he should have been listing all his sources at the end.

Yeah I had never heard of those two prior to today but they were excellent guests and are worthy of a full episode. I've been pretty much only listening to Podcast: the Ride's Downtown Disney Ordeal lately so it was a good palate cleanser.

Bryan and Brett are surprise (to me) great guests like the guys from Your Kickstarter Sucks.
