Do they still constantly invite Guardian columnists as quests to suck all joy and sincerity out of the studio? A shame, I like Frankie Boyle otherwise.

outy posted:https://twitter.com/MirrorRoyal/status/1197613414845161478 To be honest, this is the face you get when half a dozen or more cameras flash every 1/5th second at you in the dark and you're not trying to crash into anything while passing. Its akin photographing female celebs getting out of cars because they look awkward, then post how they were full drunk because look they are awkward. Gutter trash press. Trash prince too.

Quite impressed with the soundbites from the leader's Question Time the BBC are putting up on their website - BoJo, Swinsdon and Sturgeon all seemed to be getting raked over the coals, while Corbyn's answer on his stance on Brexit seemed... Well, the silence felt like tacit approval, almost? The audience certainly could've booed and jeered - and more importantly the BBC could've put that up front and centre - but I guess there's an element that a neutral adjudicator presiding over a second referendum is acceptable. Meanwhile BoJo's soundbite has him getting shafted over holding the election in the first place and the Russia papers, Swinson desperately tries to get people to like her despite giving them a great big "gently caress-you" over the referendum, and Sturgeon couldn't decide whether she wanted a second referendum on Brexit or Scotland. Dare I say, it looked like a good night for jam man? DeadButDelicious has issued a correction as of 23:39 on Nov 22, 2019 |

My impression (I didn't watch the entire thing but most of it on and off), Corbyn looked the same as normal, got a bunch of people right in his face but dealt with it fine - he's way better at this than he was a few years ago. Swinson looked like a loser, what did anyone expect. Sturgeon was putting on her best Merkel impression and actually mostly pulled it off (in style anyway) and Borris was just loving awful any time a peasant looked him in the eye, which was 100% of his half hour. It was my home city so it's about what I expected. Dunno where the gently caress they found the Tories though, must be Dore.

BoJo's half-hour on the BBC QT show ended with people in the audience loving applauding him. How do you even maintain a United Kingdom when the English are so thirsty for a strong-daddy posh-voice Eton boy to rule them, but the rest of the UK is loving horrified every time that sentient wanksock opens his mouth.

corbyn's brexit policy seems smart because it de-escalates brexit and also uncenters it. otherwise its the sort of thing that can swallow up everything else in politics, since it's so important and central to society but framed in such a fundamentally stupid way
